How to reach Jaldapara National Park

● By Air: So the first and the quickest way to reach the destination is via air. As Jaldapara is surrounded by nature and wild which makes it unique from any other national park, buit it also indicates at the fact that it does not have an airport of its own. The nearest airport from Jaldapara National Park is at Bagdogra Airport which is situated in Siliguri. The airport is just 145 km away from the national park.

● By Rail: The most important railway station to Jaldapara is the New Jalpaiguri Railway Station (NJP). It not only plays an important role in North Bengal but it also very prominent in North-east India The nearest station to Jaldapara is Madarihat which is just 7 km away from the destination but the only problem with this station is that most of the trains do not take a stop at this station. But for the tourists who prefer traveling via train, there is other stations that you can go for that are Birpara and Hasimara. These two stations are just 20 km away from the national park and all the trains make a stop in the two stations. After you arrive the railway station you can hire a private or public taxi to reach the national park. Jeeps and taxis are easily available outside the station.

● By Road: The presence of National Highway makes the easy accessibility by road possible, and so does the third way of transportation for you. The road well connects the districts near Jaldapara National Park such as Siliguri which is situated at a distance of 140 km that can be covered approximately in 3 hours. The other district near jaldapara like Alipurduar which is 50 km away from the destination, and Cooch Behar just 80 km from the national park. Buses are the common transportation if you are traveling from the nearby areas of Jaldapara. So if you want to enjoy the journey along with the destination then traveling via road is a good option because if you are traveling road you can know the culture of the people from the surrounding places and of Jaldapara as well.
